Watercolor Florals : Not Your Average Floral Print
Published May 18, 2009 at 11:20 pm 1 CommentOne of my favorite spring trends are the latest twist on the traditional floral print – Watercolor Florals. These pretty prints look more like something that belongs in an artists sketch book rather than in your closet. But, they can add a great extra bit of feminine polish to any look. These items are very easy to wear and accessories. Pair them with simple wedges or heels (instead of opting for basic black try nude heels instead), dark blue jeans, and bangles.

Dresses : These are the perfect twist on the everyday summer dress that we all love to wear. Instead of a basic color, go for a pretty pattern instead. Pictured from left to right are the ASOS Big Rose Print Dress, the Urban Outfitters Cupcake Dress, and the Mink Pink Monet Bustier Dress.

Skirts : Pair muted shades with brightly colored tops, and bright skirts with neutral shaded tops. Pictured from left to right are the Silence & Noise Exploded Floral Tulip Skirt, the Firetrap Paint Splatted Seamed Fit And Flare Mini, and the Kimchi Blue High-Waisted Abstract Floral Skirt.

Tops : Wear these with your dark denim jeans or neutral colored shorts. A pair of wedges or some embellished gladiator sandals will help take the look up a notch. Pictured from left to right are the Shoshanna Watercolor Floral Top, the Dolce Vita Birmingham Top, and the Jenni Kayne Origami Tank.

I love love love the florals this summer because I have a thing for flowers, so it is so much fun to actually wear all of these fun and vibrant colors! I especially like the watercolor tops and it is a great idea to dress them down with casual shorts and or some strappy sandels. I can’t wait to wear more of my floral tops! Great blog!
