While the world of blogging has been around for ages, many are turning to sites like LiveJournal to keep track of their day to day life and to network. LiveJournal is full of all kinds of communities. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been addicted ever since you discovered LiveJournal. While I’ve stumbled across a share of inactive communities, or communities full of spam, there are several out there that have me hooked. Here’s my list of The Best LiveJournal Communities for Beauty, Fashion & Life.

Love & Lattes : This is probably my favorite community on LiveJournal. Not only does it offer posts on a wide variety of topics, but the staff members are all very sweet people. Due to the wide variety of staff members, it features posts about anything and everything. From discussion posts about recent episodes of Gossip Girl, anonymous confession posts, advice on how to properly tip while dinning out, book reviews, ways to avoid hangovers, tips for keeping long distance relationships going, and tons more. By having a little bit of everything, Love & Lattes offers something for everyone.

Beauty 101 : Have you been pondering a new hair cut for a time but just aren’t sure about it yet? Curious about others experiences with a new cosmetic product? Trying to track down that new cosmetic item that you are dying to try but can’t seem to find anywhere? Then this is the community for you. For any question that you might have, this very active community and it’s helpful members will be able to help you. For anything and everything beauty related, Beauty 101 is the place to go.

Lovers Lane : While it’s similar in style to Love & Lattes, Lovers Lane is created by a bit more of an edgier crowd of writers. While L&L may be more for girls like me who enjoy shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch as compared to Hot Topic, both communities equally cover any and every topic that you could want to read about. From how to make single serving chocolate cake in the microwave (so dangerously addictive!), discussions about cosmetic surgery on pets, tips to help you end your nail biting habit, vegan recipes, introductions to new drinking games, and tips on how to get amazing cleavage, Lovers Lane also offers something for everyone.

Makeup Tutorials : Going a step (or two, or three) beyond Beauty 101, this community allows members to post their makeup looks with step by step pictures and video that show you how to re-create the look. Looking for tips on how to apply natural looking bronzer? Want to look as glam as a 1950′s movie star? Or just need some ideas what looks you might be able to create with items from the Heatherette collection for MAC? Look no further than Makeup Tutorials for your answers.

Trendfamous : Though it’s not as active as it used to be, Trendfamous remains one of my favorite communities on LiveJournal. It’s great to browse when you’re stuck in a fashion rut and in need of some inspiration. Full of posts of pre-created outfits, similar to the ones that I post here (and ones that I have cross-posted there), it’s a place to view fashion of all kinds from all walks of life. Trendfamous may not be the most active community anymore, but it remains one of the funnest to browse.

Eyeshadow Sluts : This community is similar to Makeup Tutorials, except that all the tutorials are only for eye looks. If you are looking for tips on how to create the perfect cat eye liner, ways to wear this falls trendy purples and greys, or just looking for some color inspiration, this is the place to go. From simple and natural to outrageous or glamorous, Eyeshadow Sluts will show you how to get the look.
