I admit that I’m always a bit skeptical about the quality of the products when Sephora does a crossover collection. While Tarina Tarantino makes cute jewelery, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the products at Sephora would be any good. As a mascara addict, I jumped at the chance to try Tarina Tarantino Fleur De Lash Mascara.

The number of mascara reviews on this blog from the past year (by Estée Lauder, L’Oreal & L’Oreal) only skims the surface of the tubes I have tried this year. I have high expectations from my mascara and I expect for them to deliver on their promises. After all, no look is complete without great mascara. While I have a lot of lashes, they are fine lashes. I definitely look for mascaras that deliver in the volume department. I don’t worry as much about length since mine are also long, but a little extra never hurt anyone.

The first thing I noticed about Tarina Tarantino Fleur De Lash Mascara was the brush. It reminds me a lot of the one used in CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara but is from the same material as a traditional mascara wand. It’s big and full of bristles. This really helped to coat every lash with mascara. Not only did it make all of my lashes stand out, but it added a great amount of natural looking length. Fleur De Lash Mascara promises to both lengthen and thicken lashes. Personally, I felt that it did little to thicken my lashes. If you apply several coats you notice that it adds volume, but I feel like if a mascara promises to make your lashes appear thicker, it needs to do so from the start. The formula didn’t clump, flake, or irritate my eyes. It’s also very easy to remove.

Overall, I am happy with Tarina Tarantino Fleur De Lash Mascara. While I do wish that it would have added more volume to my lashes, I was satisfied with the results. I loved that the brush grabbed every lash and that it added great length. This definitely make my eyes stand out and also made it a great mascara to go with natural make up looks.
