Cropped Boyfriend Jeans

Taylor Swift in Cropped Boyfriend Jeans

As I mentioned in the post Taylor Swift for Glamour August 2009, Cropped Boyfriend Jeans are a huge trend for late summer and early fall. They give you the best of both worlds by providing both comfort and style. Last fall, everyone (Sarah Jessica Parker, Katie Holmes, Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, & more) was all about boyfriend jeans in general and I’m glad that they’ve received an update for 2009.

Cropped Boyfriend Jeans : 7 For All Mankind Josefina Boyfriend Jean

One of my favorite examples of the Cropped Boyfriend Jeans trends are the 7 For All Mankind Josefina Boyfriend Jean. They have a comfortable fit that isn’t too big or loose, and a great medium wash that goes with everything. You can pick up these super cute cropped boyfriend jeans from PoshStyle or ShopLaundry. The Abercrombie & Fitch Fiona Boyfriend Crop is also another really cute version of Cropped Boyfriend Jeans. What makes cropped boyfriend jeans a great item to have in your closet this summer is that they are easy to wear and don’t require a lot of thought (unlike Symbol LS2208). Pair them with basic tees or tanks, or a feminine top (like Glamour did with Taylor Swift). It doesn’t take much to complete this look.

Not sure if the Cropped Boyfriend Jeans trend is right for you? Check out the entire cropped jeans section of PoshStyle for lots of other cute styles. The Willliam Rast Belle Cuffed Capri and the Hudson Gabby Cuffed Flood Jean are both great options for those who like the look of cropped denim but aren’t sure if the boyfriend fit is for them.

Chloë Sevigny for O.C. Fall 2009 Ready to Wear

Chloë Sevigny for O.C. Fall 2009 Ready to Wear

Chloë Sevigny has always been known for her offbeat and indie sense of style. She’s a trendsetter in her own way and is rarely caught wearing anything that would currently be considered trendy. So, it’s no surprise that she recently started her own clothing line. The Chloë Sevigny for O.C. Fall 2009 Ready to Wear collection is everything that you would expect from Chloë. Interesting and unique, and just wearable enough. Her inspiration for the line? “My references are all over the map,” said Chloë Sevigny, “from skinheads to Connecticut kids to St. Mark’s Place. But this all really started because I wanted to make a pink flannel shirt!”

Next to come for Chloë Sevigny is a partnership with Bass which will include penny loafers and saddle shoes. I’m quite curious where this line is headed in the future and will be interested to read any reviews (such as a liporexall review) that might be posted online. What do you think of the Chloë Sevigny for O.C. Fall 2009 Ready to Wear collection?

Just A Shopping Post

I’ve been really busy lately and must apologize for the lack of updates here at Logical Harmony. In an effort to share some of my personal style with readers, I decided to share items I’ve purchased over the past couple of weeks.

As I’ve stated here probably more times that I should have, I’m a sucker for plaid and ruffles. So it’s no surprise that I had to have this red plaid shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch with ruffles down the front. I’m not usually a big fan of graphic tees, but I did like both of these. The first one is from Abercrombie Kids and I just loved the bright colors that were used. The second one is from Abercrombie & Fitch. I liked the colors, the off-the-shoulder neckline and the overall 1980′s appeal of it. Their tee’s are soft and comfy, which is why I own several solid colored v-necks and tanks. This isn’t the exact denim skirt that I picked up, but it looks pretty close. I got the Abercrombie & Fitch Boyfriend Denim skirt, which is comfortable, slouchy, slightly destroyed, and has a button fly. I know that a lot of people consider Abercrombie & Fitch a lame store for people past high school to shop (and that you need to be taking a lot of weight loss supplements to fit into the items) but it’s a great place to shop for basics, they have amazing sale prices, and I like how the clothing fits. Unlike a lot of girls my age, my white girl butt and pretty much non-existent hips just don’t fit into items from stores I would love to shop at, like J. Crew or Banana Republic.

I wanted to make a quick stop into Sephora to grab my all time favorite concealer, Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing, but I ended up walking out with more thanks to being a member of their Beauty Insider program. When you shop within a couple of weeks of your birthday, you get extra goodies for free. This year it’s this adorable mini lip gloss set. The colors are great all purpose shades that everyone can wear.

Amica July 2009 : Mix & Match

Amica July 2009 : Mix & Match ft. Daiane Conterato

Like most people I know, magazines provide me with a huge source of fashion inspiration. Since I can only justify spending the cash for a couple of subscriptions a year, I do a lot of my browsing online. You can come across a wider variety than you would on the shelves of your local Barnes & Noble and you can find a lot of really inspiring stuff. I recently found a spread called Mix & Match from the July 2009 issue of Amica that I really loved.

I’m a sucker for plaid and gingham, so I suppose it’s no surprise that I loved the looks featured in this piece. My two favorites are above. What are your favorite looks from this piece?

Blu Bijoux Bangles

One of my favorite online retailers to browse for accessories is Max & Chloe. They carry a wide variety of designers and an even wider selection of styles. Some of my recent favorites from Max & Chloe are these Blu Bijoux Bangles.

Blu Bijoux Bangles : Turquoise Bubbles Cuff, Chunky White Cuff & Pearls and Turquoise Cuff

Turquoise has always been one of my favorite stones for accessories. It adds a really great earthy feel to any look and stands out enough that you don’t need much else to accessorize. Pictured from left to right : Turquoise Bubbles Cuff, Chunky White Cuff, and Pearls and Turquoise Cuff.

Blu Bijoux Bangles : Crystal Pendant Cuff, Spring Bracelet & Mixed Media Cuff

Ethnic designs and florals are also always going to be in style. I love how over the top the Spring Bracelet is. Pictured from left to right : Crystal Pendant Cuff, Spring Bracelet, and Mixed Media Cuff.

You can view the entire stock of Blu Bijoux for more cute items.

Juicy Couture Roughs It Up

With their summer 2009 collection, Juicy Couture Roughs It Up with a bit of an 80′s vibe. A lot of the items are part biker chick, part Peg Bundy, and completely spot on with this summers trends. Stick with natural hair and makeup to play the look down, or go all out with the 80′s vibe with teased hair and heavy eyeliner.

What do you think of this collection? Is it something you would wear? Personally, I love the cheetah print items the most. I find that there’s something so great about slightly trashy animal prints that I just cannot resist. Plus, if you’re going to be moving (and looking for some moving companies San Francisco perhaps), or just want to throw on a lazy day outfit, these are easy look options.

Freebie Saturday #48

Unfortunately, there aren’t a whole lot of freebies out there for this weeks Freebie Saturday. Hopefully some of the freebies from last week are still active to make up for it! At least they are all useful beauty freebies though, right? Sorry for the lack of updates here lately. Life has gotten really busy for me, but I’m going to do my best to stay on top of things here. :) I’m looking at some wholesale laptops because maybe having a laptop will help a little more. Being able to post from the couch instead of the computer desk sounds so appealing. Anyways, enjoy the freebies!

Summer Skin Care Tips Revisited

The change of seasons always seems to bring on a change in the condition of my skin. The products that work the best for me in the winter don’t always do the trick come summertime, and I know that this is the case for many others too. Whether your problem is dry skin, oily skin, breakouts, blackhead problems, or combination skin, it’s important to adjust your skin care routine to your current needs. I know that I’ve become completely addicted to Dermalogica MultiVitamin Thermafoliant and Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery Moisturizer more and more as it gets warmer outside. I also can’t say enough about how great olive oil is as a beauty product.

I went back through some of my previous posts and collected the skin care tips that I think will be helpful. Hopefully you pick up some new tips and are reminded of some you might have forgotten.

Even though these don’t have to do with skin care, I still think that they are important.

Tibi Summer 2009

One of my favorite clothing lines is Tibi. Their pieces are always so full of amazing graphic prints, vintage prints, and vintage styles. I love their ability to mix ethnic prints with a 60′s hippie floral print and have the item come out looking amazing. Having just released a ton of new items, I wanted to share my favorites from the Tibi Summer 2009 Collection. Hopefully you enjoy these pieces as much as I do.
