Wishpot Wishlist & Gift Registry

Wishpot Wishlist & Gift Registry

Like most people who love shopping, I love online wishlist services. It’s a great way to bookmark all the items that you’d love to have so that you can come back and browse when you’re about to go shopping. It’s also a great way to let friends and family know what gifts you’d love for birthdays, holidays, etc. However, not all online wishlist services are equal. I’ve signed up for several that have been incredibly disappointing in their incredibly basic services. One that I discovered over the summer and am loving is Wishpot.

It combines the basic wishlist and gift registry ideas of other wishlist sites with features of a social network. You can comment on the wishlist items of others, send messages to each other, and add other users as friends. Wishpot even has several blogs that are updated on a regular basis. There are blogs on wedding registry ideas, baby registry ideas, gift ideas, and more. I love their Fashion Finds and Indie Finds blogs the most.

Have you already signed up for Wishpot? What are your thoughts on it so far? If you haven’t signed up yet, definitely check it out. Also, make sure to add Logical Harmony on Wishpot as a friend. I’m always curious what items my readers are into at the moment.

L’Oreal Revatalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Review

L'Oreal Revatalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Review

One of the best beauty tips that I can pass on is to start using an eye cream years before you think you need to buy one. The difference that it can make over time is pretty surprising. There’s a reason that at 26 people usually guess that I’m 21. Plus, I figure that it’s always better to take preventative measures than try to deal with skin issues, like wrinkles, before they are even a possible problem. One eye cream that I recently tried was L’Oreal Revatalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair.

L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara Review

L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara Review

One of the beauty products that I absolutely cannot live without is mascara. It’s such a small product, but it can make such a huge difference. When it comes to mascara, I prefer volumizing formulas over lengthening ones. My lashes are already pretty long on their own, but lack the volume that I want. Honestly, I’ve found few volumizing mascaras that actually live up to their claims (or maybe that live up to my expectations). Because of this, I’m always skeptical to try new formulas but also absolutely love to try them. L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara is the latest mascara that I’ve given a test run.

Style Obsession : Off The Shoulder Tops

Style Obsession : Off The Shoulder Tops - Silence & Noise Batwing Boatneck Top

One fall trend that I really love are Off The Shoulder Tops. Comfy and cool, it’s an easy way to get away from the basic jeans and tee combo without changing too much about your look. One of my favorites is the Silence & Noise Batwing Boatneck Top (pictured above) from Urban Outfitters. I saw it in the catalog I found on my tv stand and loved the 80′s vibe of the top and the colors it is available in.

What do you think of the Off The Shoulder trend?

Abercrombie & Fitch Brett Super Skinny Legging Jean

Abercrombie & Fitch Brett Super Skinny Legging Jean

Finding a good pair of jeans is quite possibly one of the hardest shopping tasks out there. You can try on dozens of pairs without finding one that fits or feels just right. It’s probably about as difficult as trying to find a orange nj dentist. I recently found one of those one in a dozen if you’re lucky pairs of jeans, so I had to post about the Abercrombie & Fitch Brett Super Skinny Legging Jean.

These jeans are a lot softer, thinner, and made with better construction than pairs in the past. They feel exactly like leggings once you have them on, and are just as soft and comfortable. Plus, since using a wider range of fit models for their products, the jeans fit a lot better than older styles. They also stretch differently. Many older styles stretched in the thighs and butt of the pants, but not at all in the waistband. The Brett Super Skinny Legging Jean stretches equally all around, which gives them an even better fit. A good pair of denim is hard to find, and worth the money when you do. As my current favorite pair of jeans, available in stores or online, I just had to share.

Have you tried the Abercrombie & Fitch Brett Super Skinny Legging Jean for yourself? What were your thoughts?

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer Review

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer Review One cosmetic product that I love is primer. It helps your product go on smoother, colors are more vibrant, and everything wears longer and better. For a long time now, I’ve been a huge huge fan of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. However, I’ve recently tried Too Faced Shadow Insurance and have to say that I have a new favorite eye primer.

It’s formula feels very light and smooth, which helps it apply to skin with ease. It’s a thin formula that feels completely weightless on your finger tips before application and on your lid. It dries quickly and turns completely invisible on your skin. Which is great because you want people to see your vibrant eye colors, not your primer. It wears all day long without product moving at all or losing any of it’s pigment. Yet, it’s easy to remove with regular eye make up remover and a cotton ball. There’s no stubborn mess that practically needs to be removed with pressure washers. Plus, it’s great packaging means no more having to deal with the hassle of de-potting UDPP either.

Overall, I have to say that I love this product and have found my new favorite eye primer. You can pick it up in your local Sephora store or online. Have you tried Too Faced Shadow Insurance? Did you like it?

My Current Beauty Product Faves

One of my favorite bloggers, Marsadie, posted this What Products Am I Using Right Now? meme on her site. I always love seeing what products people use, so I figure that I would post it here too. I can’t be alone in this! If you re-post this on your blog, please let me know! I’d love to see what products you use.

Please note that this article was posted before the focus of Logical Harmony was on cruelty free and vegan beauty products. In 1990, Revlon said that it was no longer going to test on animals but they have yet to try to classify themselves as cruelty free. Ask Revlon to Join the Leaping Bunny Program.

Hair Products :
Shampoo : Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softy is my current favorite. I also use L’Oreal Ever Pure or a Volumzing shampoo too. I switch it up a lot depending on how I’ve recently styled or will be styling my hair.
Conditioner : See above. Once a week or so I deep condition with warm olive oil.
Styling products : The two that I cannot live without are mousse and hair spray. I love both products in the Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softy line as well as both products from the BigSexyHair line. I apply the mouse to wet hair, comb through, and blow dry for extra volume and texture.

Limi Feu Fall 2009 Ready to Wear

Limi Feu Fall 2009 Ready to Wear

For those of you who love menswear (myself included), the Limi Feu Fall 2009 Ready to Wear is going to be full of great looks to work into your fall style. Japanese designer Limi Feu used Edwardian England as her inspiration for the fall line and produced a collection of classic pieces with an interested twist. Using crisp white dress shirts, suspenders, slim ties, vests, blazers and pegged trousers this collection gave menswear an interesting perspective and update (kinda like cad drawing). To balance that out, there were also several very feminine pieces in the collection.

Personally, I like several of the pieces and love the fashion inspiration provided by them, but I’m not a huge fan of the collection all together. What do you think of the Limi Feu Fall 2009 Ready to Wear collection?

Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 Ready to Wear

Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 Ready to Wear

Designer Marc Jacobs always seems to be able to bring out the fun in anything. His work on the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 Ready to Wear was no exception. Heavily 80′s inspired, the collection featured lots of lace, ruffles, bubble skirts, ruching, and poofs. Somehow Mark Jacobs managed to take cringe worthy elements from the 80′s, like dresses with poof sleeves, and turn them into something that actually looks good. A pretty amazing feat that only Marc Jacobs could pull off. When asked about his inspiration for the collection, he stated that it was heavily influenced by 1980′s French women in fashion and Christian Lacroix. Marie Seznec (who modeled for Christian Lacroix), Victoire de Castellane (worked for Chanel), and Inès de la Fressange (a big name in French fashion) were all his muses for this collection.

Personally, I loved this collection! It contains all the crazy and fun elements that Marc Jacobs always brings to the table, while still retaining the Louis Vuitton reputation for high class pieces. I had to look up his muses in some books, but it’s always worth it to see what inspires designers as accomplished as Marc Jacobs.

What do you think of the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 Ready to Wear collection?
