I do realize that it’s a bit late to start posting about the MTV VMAs Fashion, but I felt like everyone was way too caught up in a certain drama last week to pay enough attention to the fashion. Victoria’s Secret Angel, and one of my favorite models, Alessandra Ambrosio walked the red carpet looking amazing. I loved the opened toed booties, gothic jewelry, and the overall punk feel to her look. If you’re into the new gothic trends, it’s also hitting the makeup aisles. Like a lot of models and celebrities, you can bet Alessandra Ambrosio has something similar to a life insurance policy taken out on those legs. Her look was perfectly accessorized with the statement necklace and gorgeous waves in her hair.

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen helped Clinique and Teen Vogue start off their National Fresh Faces Tour in New York City this week. Wearing an oversize sweater dress, black tights, and black booties accessorized with a large pendant necklace and black eyeliner, Momsen looked chic and pulled together. I love how her outfit works for events like this, but is also casual enough to be worn while you’re out running errands like picking up dog supplies. It’s also nice to see her with less makeup on her face and just one feature emphasized.

Last night, the always gorgeous Dita Von Teese debuted her collection of bra’s for the Wonderbra Party Edition. The party was held at the Dorchester hotel in London, England. The line of bra’s, designed by Dita Von Teese, will be available this winter. It being designed by Von Teese, the bras feature details such as embroidery, sequins, and removable tassels. Yes, you read that right. Tassels.

The Party Edition collection from Wonderbra will be available in stores nation wide and are definitely not your average bra. However, since they are designed by Dita Von Teese, they are sure to be just as classy as they are sexy. Hopefully they are something that people with average bodies can pull off and not just those who are using the best diet pill, like a lot of celebrities. I was so excited when I received my October 2009 issue of Glamour in the mail the other day and saw Gwen Stefani on the cover. I’m a huge fan of No Doubt, Gwen’s solo stuff, and her fashion lines L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers. Gwen looked gorgeous on the cover and shows that sometimes, less really is more. Her off the shoulder McQ by Alexander McQueen is spot on for fall. Shoulders are the piece of skin to show off this year, and this off the shoulder top is a great way to do so. It’s so nice to see the emphasis on other parts of the body, so we can focus on being happy with our bodies instead of focusing on how to lose belly fat.

To get her look, makeup artist Gina Brooke applied foundation, faux lashes, and neutral lipstick. The whole nude lipstick trend got huge last summer and will continue to last through the fall.
