An Easy Smokey Eye Look from Nicole Richie

An Easy Smokey Eye Look from Nicole Richie

Since launching her accessories line, House of Harlow 1960, Nicole Richie’s presence as a style icon has only increased. Not only does she have her own clothing line, accessory line and two kids, but she also still manages to pull off having great style and makeup.

At a recent event, Nicole sported a toned down smokey eye that is a great daytime look. Want to get the look? It’s easier than you might think!

  • Start with neutral eyeshadow. Glamour suggests a sparkly pink, but I say that any neutral shade will do.
  • Rim your upper and lower lids with black liner.
  • Apply black liquid liner to the top lid only. This will make that line stand out more.
  • Apply gray shadow to the outer corners of your eyelids.
  • Finish with two coats of your favorite mascara.

Earthly Body Dare To Be Bare Shave Cream & Miracle Oil Review

Earthly Body Dare To Be Bare Shave Cream & Miracle Oil Review

Finding an animal friendly shaving cream is a lot harder than you might imagine. Finding one that’s cruelty free, vegan and natural is next to impossible. That’s why I was so excited when I found out about Earthly Body Dare To Be Bare Shave Cream & Miracle Oil. Earthly Body is currently one of My Favorite Cruelty Free & Vegan Brands out there. Everything that I have tried from them, I have loved. This is just the start of the Earthly Body product reviews you are going to see. They use hemp oil, tea tree oil, Argan oil and other natural ingredients that make their completely animal friendly products stand out.

At first, I was going to review the Dare To Be Bare Shave Cream and Dare To Be Bare Miracle Oil separately. However, once I realized how great each product is, I wanted to review it together. You can buy the two as a set, and that is exactly what you will want to do once you try these two products. Read on for reviews of Earthly Body Dare To Be Bare Shave Cream & Miracle Oil.

Juicy Couture Winter 2011 Lookbook

Juicy Couture Winter 2011 Lookbook

If you love jeweltones, sequins, velvet, lace and pops of bright colors, then you are sure to love the looks from the Juicy Couture Winter 2011 Lookbook. It’s a great update to their Fall Lookbook.

I know that Juicy used to use real fur on their items. When I looked over the product descriptions for their fall and winter items the one thing that they all had in common was “faux fur”. It’s really great that they have made that change! Also, while some of the items shown in this lookbook are leather, it’s very easy to find faux leather and suede items. Even brands like Free People now offer many items using faux leather. It’s great to see such fashionable brands becoming more animal friendly.

Reviva Labs Seaweed Soap Review

Reviva Labs Seaweed Soap Review

After how much I loved the makeup primer from Reviva Labs, I couldn’t wait to try more of their products. I was intrigued by the Seaweed Soap because I’ve read that seaweed soaps have historically been used to fight cellulite. This soap is completely cruelty free and vegan – they use palm and coconut oils instead of animal fats to make it.

The ingredients of the soap are as follows : Soap (Sodium Palmate and Cocoate Types), Water, Sorbitan Oleate, Atlantic and/or Pacific Seaweed Grains, Glycerin, Walnut Shell Powder, Atlantic and/or Pacific Seaweeds, Microscopic Blue-Green Algae, Sodium Chloride, Trisodium Hedta, Fragrance, Iron Oxides, Talc. Not only does the product description confirm that the Glycerin is plant-based, but I have also confirmed that with Reviva Labs as well.

I liked that the soap left my skin feeling clean, but it wasn’t drying. I think that the coconut oil in it really helped to keep my skin soft. The pieces of real seaweed and walnut shell powder in the soap also did a great job of exfoliating. I like that it’s a unique alternative to all the exfoliating soaps that contain oatmeal.

The biggest issue I had with the soap was the smell. It was a bit too perfume smelling for my taste. Because it’s a seaweed soap make from palm oil and coconut oil, I was expecting a more natural and less potent smell. I didn’t notice a change in my skin tone but, honestly, you can’t expect miracles from a soap.

Overall, I am really enjoying using Reviva Labs Seaweed Soap. I’ve been using it for a month now and still have half the bar left, so it’s a great deal for the price. Reviva Labs has always been cruelty free, and they offer a lot of vegan products (plus, they will go the extra mile to confirm what products are vegan if you ask). To me, that’s also well worth supporting. I like how the seaweed soap lathers, that it exfoliates, and that it doesn’t dry out my skin. The pros of this soap outweigh the cons. If you want to try a new soap or if you are looking for a unique item to add to a gift basket, check out Reviva Labs Seaweed Soap.

Have you tried seaweed soap before? What did you think? If not, does it seem like a product you would want to try?
