There’s a reason that so many people love the Boho Chic style trend. It’s casual, comfortable, and you get to have a lot of fun by mixing and matching random accessories. Especially items with a bohemian or hippie influence. Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller are all big fans of this style. In fact, there is an ongoing argument in the fashion world about whether it was Kate Moss or Sienna Miller that first popularized the trend in Europe before it started showing up here in America. This outfit is based on the Boho Chic style.

One great item for summer, no matter what your personal style tastes are, is a white cotton dress. The Kaliedescope Cotton Embroidered Tank Dress in White is perfect because it’s not too casual or too dressy. It also has a great cut that is flattering on every shape and size. With boho chic style, layers are a necessary. I loved the idea of a light gray vest worn over this dress. The LA Made Sweater Vest in Heather Grey would be perfect. Scarves are a great and versatile item to have on hand. They are an easy way to add color, texture, patterns, and flair to any outfit. The Urban Outfitters Flight Pattern Silk Scarf in Teal seemed to be perfect for this look. I love the floral pattern on the scarf and the colors used.

Finish with natural colored and styled accessories to complete the look. Jewelry can allow you to have a lot of fun with a look without going over the top. In fact, I feel that jewelry is something that can make or break an outfit. Just like make up, if it is overdone or underdone, it can completely throw off the entire look. With this outfit, I wanted to use jewelry to add some depth through texture and pattern. Not through color. The Urban Outfitters Art Nouveau Peacock Earring in Silver, Urban Outfitters Stone Cuff Bracelet in Brown, and Urban Outfitters Metal Beaded Bangles in Silver are all perfect for this look. The earrings and silver bracelets add small details to the outfit without detracting from the scarf. The stone bangle adds a hint of extra color. Sunglasses, like the Urban Outfitters Striped Aviator Sunglasses in Brown & Gold, are a must for any look. A standard pair of aviator style glasses should be in every girls handbag. They are universally flattering on all face shapes and can be worn with any style of outfit. Feathers are going to be a huge trend this summer. The Urban Outfitters Twisted Suede Feather Bag in Brown is a great example of using feathers to add to a look without over powering it. Simple leather sandals, such as the Urban Outfitters Leather Mayra Sandal in Tan, are also great for this look. They aren’t as bold as gladiator sandals and will be a better buy in the long run since they can easily be dressed up or down.
