It’s no secret that I love NCLA polishes. They are always coming out with new collections in some of the cutest colors! Recently, they released the Candy Coat collection. These textured polishes dry matte for a unique finish. I received the collection for review and am very excited to share my thoughts with you.

Claims: “Sweet and spicy, this shimmering red dries to a cinnamon sugar-like texture.”

NCLA Candy Coat Polish in Cinnamon Girl Review & Swatches

Ingredients: Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate, Nitrocellulose, Triphenyl Phosphate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Diacetone Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Benzophenone-1, SD Alcohol 40-B (Alcohol Denat.), Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, May Contain (+/-):, Bismuth Oxychloride, Oxides, Blue 1, Aluminum Powder, Red 34, Red 6, Red 7, Yellow 5 Lake, Iron Oxides, Violet 2, Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Isobutylphenoxy Epoxy Resin

Pros: DBP free. Toluene free. Camphor free. Formaldehyde free. Cruelty free and vegan. Wears well without a topcoat. You can make it shiny with a top coat if you don’t want to wear it matte. Very pigmented shade. Very matte finish.

Cons: Cinnamon Girl is not quite as sparkly as applied than in the bottle, but that is due to the very matte finish. It’s not immediately clear by the packaging that this shade dries matte so this may confuse those who don’t read the product description.

The Verdict: This shade was so pretty! I loved the orange tint that it has. Cinnamon Girl is a very unique red. Applied in the pictures are two thin coats. As you can see, it’s very pigmented. I thought that the matte finish was fun. Especially combined with the unique texture.
