My Favorite Vegan Beauty Products from Trader Joe’s

In this post not only do I share my favorite cruelty free and vegan beauty products from Trader Joe’s, but it’s also my first video blog!! This was a bit intimidating and a stumble over my words a bit in a few parts. Also, I apologize for the wonky lighting!

1. Trader Joe’s Prenatal Once Daily Mutli Vitamins – These vegan vitamins have that extra dose of biotin that’s great for the health of your hair, skin and nails! There are rumors that taking prenatal vitamins if you’re not pregnant will make you gain weight. Totally untrue!

2. Trader Joe’s Antiplaque Toothpaste with Fennel, Propolis and Myrrh – Did you know that most mainstream toothpaste brands test on animals? Even a lot of the natural brands, like Tom’s of Maine, are owned by a parent company that tests on animals. I like black licorice, so I love this toothpaste!

3. Trader Joe’s Vitamin E Oil – I use this to remove my eye makeup. It’s super moisturizing and all around great for your skin. I’ve heard that Vitamin E Oil can help with stretch marks, scarring and possibly even cellulite. All the more reason to work it into your beauty regiment.

4. Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Body Wash – This stuff smells amazing! It’s a mix between tea tree oil, peppermint and eucalyptus, so it’s super energizing and just all around yummy smelling.

The one thing that I wish Trader Joe’s had a vegan option for? Chapstick! Boring old chapstick. All the ones that my local Trader Joe’s stock contain beeswax. Hopefully this will change at some point in the future.

Doesn’t propolis comes from honey?! Although I’ve never seen a toothpaste with honey… it must cause cavities.

      Hi Nereida!

Propolis doesn’t come from honey. It’s a type of resin that comes from cone bearing trees. Bees collect it from these trees and use it in their hives as a sealant. However, it’s not an animal derived product. :)

Hi lovely. So nice to see a video of you. I feel like I know you so much better now. Had lost touch once you got that new job. I know things were crazy at that time trying to get adjusted. Hope all is well. Haven’t forgotten about ya.

I will definitely be getting the body wash on my next visit. I search for vegan lip balm at TJs every time I’m there too, sort of vaguely hoping one day some will just appear at the register the way their vegan hand lotion did.
