My Fave Beauty Picks Under 5 Bucks

In an ideal world, we would all love for our make up bags to be stocked with the best items from Sephora. I definitely have my share of items from Benefit and NARS, but nothing can beat finding a great cheap beauty buy. There are tons of great items out there that cost less than your latte from Starbucks. Here, I dish on My Fave Beauty Picks Under 5 Bucks.
1. Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner : I had always wanted to try creme eyeliner and kept reading that MAC made an amazing one. Only the price tag kept me from ever wanting to try it. I picked up this Wet n Wild liner on a whim and am so glad that I did. It goes on smoothly, doesn’t flake, wears perfectly all day (and night if need be), and the brush it comes with is actually decent for application. It’s also extremely easy to remove. I use baby wipes on my eye makeup and this stuff comes off in one gentle swipe. What’s even better is that Wet n Wild is a cruelty free company. Only $3.99.
2. E.L.F. Minty Lip Gloss : I’m a sucker for lip gloss. It’s a serious addiction, actually. I have tubes at my desk, on my bedside, in my makeup bag, my purse, my spare purses… All over the place. As much as I love my higher end glosses from NARS and Lancome, it’s just not practical to buy only high end glosses. I was pleasantly surprised by this gloss from E.L.F. It has a great sheer color and is spiked with a minty smell and taste. To be honest, I can’t attest to if it wears well or not. I love the smell so much that I reapply it often. I’ve read that mint can help give you an energy boost. So this could be the perfect gloss to have on hand while doing some sat prep. While I’m not a huge fan of the glitter in the gloss, it’s suble enough for me to overlook. Only $3.00.
3. Palmer’s Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Protein Pack : I’ve talked about this hair mask here before. I bought it on a whim since I was too cheap to buy olive oil (which is what I normally use as a deep conditioner for my hair) and completely fell in love. I actually haven’t done a single olive oil treatment on my hair since finding this stuff. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling softer than it ever has. I love that, unlike most treatments, the results actually last a couple of days. Instead of using a large amount once and a while, I’ve started using a small amount every other day. Despite using styling products and heat on my hair daily, I have noticed an improvement in the health of my hair. Only $1.99.
4. Sinful Colors Nail Polish : Lately I’ve been obsessed with nail polish. For years, I was working a job that banned everything but clear nail polish. Now that I’m free, I am definitely taking advantage of this new freedom. I have never liked spending a lot of money on nail polish but have also had really disappointing results from lower end brands as well. After seeing Sinful Colors all over nail polish blogs, I decided to give it a try. This stuff comes in a huge variety of colors and actually wears extremeley well. My favorite is Mint Apple. A great shade of green that’s perfect for summer. If you are into glitter, they make a variety of shades and I have read that they also wear well. Only $1.99.
5. Blistex Silk & Shine Lip Protectant : I will be honest here. While I love this product, I absolutely hate the packaging. It’s big, bulky, and impossible to fit into your jeans pocket. However, the lip balm inside works wonders on even the driest lips. It has a fresh fruity smell, which I could take or leave. It moisturizes and gives your lips some natural looking shine. Not too much or too little. The perfect amount for days at the beach or nights out. It also works great as a base under lip glosses. So many glosses dry out my lips, but apply this stuff first prevents that from happening. Only $2.99.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your favorite beauty finds for under $5?

I’ve never tried the creme version, but I loooove Wet n’ Wild liquid liner–quality brush (not sponge) applicator and rich opaque shades. I love the black abd turqouse, which is slightly metallic–I get tons of compliments when I wear it
I used to love their liquid liner but haven’t tried it in years. I may have to pick it up again! The turquoise is so pretty, and I used to love the purple.
