My Current Beauty Product Faves
One of my favorite bloggers, Marsadie, posted this What Products Am I Using Right Now? meme on her site. I always love seeing what products people use, so I figure that I would post it here too. I can’t be alone in this! If you re-post this on your blog, please let me know! I’d love to see what products you use.
Please note that this article was posted before the focus of Logical Harmony was on cruelty free and vegan beauty products. In 1990, Revlon said that it was no longer going to test on animals but they have yet to try to classify themselves as cruelty free. Ask Revlon to Join the Leaping Bunny Program.
Hair Products :
Shampoo : Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softy is my current favorite. I also use L’Oreal Ever Pure or a Volumzing shampoo too. I switch it up a lot depending on how I’ve recently styled or will be styling my hair.
Conditioner : See above. Once a week or so I deep condition with warm olive oil.
Styling products : The two that I cannot live without are mousse and hair spray. I love both products in the Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softy line as well as both products from the BigSexyHair line. I apply the mouse to wet hair, comb through, and blow dry for extra volume and texture.
Body Products :
Shower Gel : Again, this is something I switch up a lot depending on my mood. Right now, I’m switching between Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash, and two Dove body washes. One that’s for extra dry skin and one that smells like fresh peaches.
Body Moisturizer : I slather on lotion like crazy, so I go cheap and buy Sauve. Though my all time favorite, because of it’s incredibly yummy smell is Mountain Ocean’s Coconut Skin Trip Lotion.
Deodorant : Secret.
Fake Tan : L’oreal Sublime for tanner and Nivea Beautiful Sunkissed Legs for a gradual self tanner. I feel like self tanning lotions can look great in some lighting but terrible in others, but I don’t feel like this is the case with either of these. Both create a great glow without the harmful side effects of the real thing.
Face Products :
Cleanser : From the drugstore, I love Biore and Garnier and have exfoliating washes from both of them. From a higher end line, I absolutely love Dermalogica MultiVitamin Thermafoliant.
Exfoliator : I use exfoliating cleansers, but once a week I like to do a mask of honey, olive oil, and brown sugar.
Primer : Smashbox PhotoFinish foundation primer is, hands down, the best primer that I’ve used.
Foundation Brush : I don’t use a brush. Just my fingers.
Concealer : Benefit Boi-ing and Benefit Erase Paste. There isn’t a single flaw that can’t be covered by those products.
Powder : CoverGirl loose and pressed, or NYC loose.
Blusher : NARS The Multiple is what I use every day. I also love CoverGirl Cheekers blush.
Bronzer : When I do use it, I love Rimmel’s.
Highlighter : Benefit’s Eye Bright.
Eyeshadow base : I used to swear by Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (check out my tutorial on How To De-Pot Urban Decay Primer Potion), but I recently got hooked on Too Face’s Shadow Insurance. It goes on a lot smoother and lighter than UDPP does.
Eyeshadows : Mine all seem to be either Maybelline or Rimmel. Maybelline has a great bronze quad shadow pallet that’s great for everyday.
Eyeliner : I cannot live without CoverGirl Outlast Smoothwear All-Day Eyeliner. For liquid, I love Maybelline’s liquid liner with the felt tip.
Curler : I’ve been using my Revlon curler for years now.
Mascara : Right now, I’m loving L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen. I also love CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara.
Lipstick : I have a nude shade from Rimmel that I use on days when I feel like my complexion needs a little extra something.
Lipgloss : I have way way too many glosses. It’s really quite ridiculous because I have multiple tubes stored everywhere. In the bathroom, in the bedroom, at my desk, in my purse… Everywhere. My absolute favorite is NARS Lip Gloss in Orgasm.
Nails :
Nail Colour : I usually just do a basic French manicure.
