Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser Review

Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser Review

Some of my favorite bath products come from Lush. I had been a fan of their bath bombs and soaps for a long time before I tried out their skincare. For years, many brands have heavily pushed the use of microbeads as an exfoliant in skincare. But did you know that they aren’t biodegradable? After finding this out some time ago, I immediately switched to natural ways of exfoliating my skin. You can learn more about this from Lush as well. When Lush sent me a few exfoliating items to try, I was eager to see how they would work with my skin.

Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser is one that I have been using regularly for the past several weeks. I had actually heard a lot of great things about this cleanser and was really interested to see how it would work with my skin.

Claims: “For heavenly soft and perfectly balanced skin, take a bit of Angels on Bare Skin, mix with a little water and massage all over your face and body. The kaolin clay base deep-cleanses while finely ground almonds and lavender flowers gently exfoliate away dry skin. We add lavender oil to soothe and balance, and rose absolute to calm redness. If it’s smooth, radiant skin you’re after, this is the cleanser for you!”

Ingredients: Ground Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Glycerine, Kaolin, Water (Aqua), Lavender Oil (Lavandula augustifolia), Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena), Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria Chamomilla), Tagetes Oil (Tagetes minuta), Benzoin Resinoid (Styrax tonkinensis pierre), Lavender Flowers (Lavandula augustifolia), Limonene , Linalool.

Pros: Gentle exfoliating scrub. Calming scent. Effective for gentle cleansing. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: Doesn’t remove most makeup. Can be a bit messy to use.

The Verdict: I have to say that I am really loving Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser. It is one of the most gentle exfoliating cleansers that I have used. It is definitely gentle enough to use everyday. It does a great job of keeping my skin looking fresh, bright, and glowing. I find that I do need to make sure to remove my makeup fairly well before using this cleanser, but this is a skincare step that I don’t mind doing. I often use an oil to remove my makeup and it not only helps to remove my cosmetics, but it does give my skin some extra hydration. The mix of oils in the cleanser have really helped to even out my complexion. While the ground almonds help to exfoliate, the clay in the cleanser helps to pull out any impurities.

If you are looking for a natural exfolaiting scrub that you can use often, Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser is a great option to try!
