One of the hottest trends right now are Patterned Flats. They are a quick and easy way to dress up an otherwise basic outfit and to add a touch of your personality to any look. After much online browsing, I picked what I felt were the 9 best options out there.

1. Sam Edelman Carmen Ballerina Pucci Print Flat : Shown here in Pink, but also available in Black & Nude and Blue, this ballet flat is by far the most unique patterned flat out there right now. These flats have a leather upper with satin printed fabric. What makes these flats so great is not only the high quality craftsmanship that went into creating them, but their ability to instantly add both a glamorous touch and a funky vibe to any look. By taking a common pattern and adding her own flair, Betsey Johnson turned these flats into something very unique and versatile. 4. NOW!! Prosper Flat : These round toe flats combine the current trend of graphic print with retro colors that were popular in the 1960’s and 1970’s into something that’s too great to pass up. Personally, I’m a sucker for retro prints and colors, so these flats immediately caught my eye. They would be perfect to wear with a retro inspired look, such as high waisted wide leg jeans and a blouse. 5. Alloy Piece of Cake Flat : These rainbow colored knit flats are just too unique to pass on. Not to mention, too affordable. I love how fun and playful the print of the shoe and the colors used are. These are definitely the shoes to have on hand if you want to add a pop of color (okay, many colors) to your look. Just keep the rest of the outfit basic to avoid your look being too busy. 6. Sam Edelman Carmen Ballet Flat : Just like their Pucci print counterparts, these ballet flats are not only gorgeous but also very unique. They come in Yellow (pictured), Black & Nude, Copper and Pewter. So there is a color to work with every aspect of your wardrobe. I think that these flats would look especially cute with a cream colored skirt and a brown safari jacket. Or with dark wash skinny or straight leg jeans, a white blouse, and a quilted handbag. 7. Shellys Flat Pointed Stripe Flats : These flats are the perfect toned down way to incorporate the current trend of neon colors into your wardrobe. Whether you just want a punch of color to work your way into things, or to add spice to an otherwise basic look, these flats are perfect. If you have to stick to a business casual look and can’t be too crazy with colors, combine these shoes with some brightly colored earrings or nail polish to give your look some personality.
