One Outfit : Vintage Inspired Graphic Prints

One Outfit : Vintage Inspired Graphic Prints

As previously blogged about, one hot trend for this summer is graphic prints. While the styles range from funky deco-inspired to basic geometric, my personal favorite are the Vintage Inspired Graphic Prints. Not only are they the most feminine of most graphic prints, but they also tend to be the most versatile. You can run with the feminine side and go girly, or go with the vintage vibe for hippie chic.

I based this outfit around the Tibi Marrakech V Neck Top in Sand. I simply love this top. It has a great cut, shape, pattern, and colors. This top combines both floral and geometric graphic prints, which creates a great effect. I’d pair this top with some great high quality straight leg jeans, such as the 7 For All Mankind Straight Leg in Los Angeles Dark. Straight leg jeans are perfect for any occasion and will never go out of style. If you wanted to wear a more boho inspired look, you could pair the top with flared or wide leg jeans, such as the Antik Denim Wide Leg Jean in Denim.

For accessories, stick with natural colors but don’t be afraid to draw attention with oversize accessories. A large handbag in dark brown, like the Juicy Couture LG Bowler in Chocolate, is perfect for this outfit. Some flip flops or gladiator sandals, like the Frye Mary Harness Thong in Gold, play up the feminine yet hippie inspired feel of the top. Finish with stacks of bangles. The Vita Bamboo Gold Hardware Large Bangle in Brown would be a great bangle to include because of it’s natural feel.

When wearing graphic prints, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the print itself and skimp on accessories. Try to avoid this and just have fun! That’s what fashion is really all about, right? Layer on bangles, pick up a pair of large earrings, and throw on those oversize sunnies. To read more from Logical Harmony about graphic prints, check out the post Summer Graphic Prints from Tibi.
