Like anyone into beauty products, I try to take just as good care of my hair as I do my skin. Keeping it healthy and taking care of my hair is a big priority for me. In the past, I did a lot of damage by dying my hair frequently. Now that it is all it’s natural shade, I do whatever I can to keep it healthy. This does include looking totally ridiculous by sitting with olive oil soak hair and a plastic bag wrapped around head. With high quality ingredients and a philosophy to make products to take care of your natural hair, I was curious to try ICON hair products.
ICON Drench Moisture Shampoo : This shampoo is one of the first products created by ICON. According to Planet Beauty, this shampoo is, “Ideal for dry color, chemically treated hair. Helps repair dry, brittle, unruly hair while infusing moisture. Delivers shine and hydration with out weighting the hair down.” Since I have fine hair, I tend to stay away from moisturizing shampoos because they usually leave my hair flat and limp. What I noticed about Drench is that it moisturized my strands, but didn’t weigh them down. It contains silk and wheat proteins to help strengthen your hair, as well as aloe leaf juice to add moisture. You can buy ICON Drench Moisture Shampoo online from Planet Beauty.
ICON Free Conditioner : This conditioner was also created to moisturize without weighing down your hair. According to Planet Beauty, it is a, “Lightweight detangling cream with proteins to leave hair feeling healthier and stronger.” I have to admit that ICON’s Free Conditioner didn’t make me as happy as the Drench Shampoo did. Since I have fine hair, it tends to get tangles easily. I ended up having to use some of my regular conditioner on the ends of my hair in addition to Free. Other than that, I was happy with the product. It would probably work better on a different hair type or a shorter hair length. It contains silk proteins, shea butter, aloe leaf juice, and babassu seed oil to help treat your hair even better. You can buy ICON Free Condioner online from Planet Beauty.
Finding hair products that actually live up to their claims seems to be pretty rare. But, I was very surprised to find that overall both ICON Drench Moisture Shampoo & Free Conditioner did. While I would probably select a different ICON conditioning product in the future, I will likely buy more ICON hair care in the future. I am very intrigued by some of their other products. Especially the CURE Leave-In Conditioner (which donates money to help fight cancer) and the Inner Moisture Mask.
Have you tried any ICON products? What was your experience?
