Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Review

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Review

I have to admit, I am incredibly behind when it comes to trying out the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. Hourglass is acruelty free brand, but I did not know this palette was vegan until recently. I have heard rave reviews about it for ages and was really interested to see if it lived up to the hype.

This palette contains three shades of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, one of which is exclusive to the palette.

  • Dim Light: A neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with the perfect balance of warm and cool tones.
  • Incandescent Light (exclusive to the palette): An opalescent pearl powder that brightens the complexion with a celestial glow.
  • Radiant Light: A sun-kissed golden beige that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth, and also extends a summer glow.

Claims: “Create your perfect light with this palette featuring three shades of Ambient Lighting Powder, which utilize Photoluminescent Technology to filter out harsh light and refine the appearance of the complexion. Each of these high-tech, soft-focus finishing powders recreate an exquisitely flattering light source. The powders can be applied individually or layered to imbue skin with a multidimensional glow.”

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Review

Pros:  Gorgeous shades. Versatile shade combination. Sleek and portable packaging. Cruelty free brand. Vegan formula.

Cons: Only contains three shades.

The Verdict: There is a good reason that the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette was included in my April favorites. This palette is gorgeous! Dim Light is a great powder to use to set your makeup all over your face. It gives a really soft and diffused look. It is notshimmery, but does make your skin look polished and pretty. Incandescent Light is a beautiful highlight. It blends really well and gives your skin the perfect bit of shimmer. Radiant Light is gorgeous over blush, bronzer, or as a highlight. It gives your skin a beautiful sunkissed glow. I can say that I truly think the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette lives up to the hype. It’s a wonderful palette and I hope that Hourglass releases others!
