Gwen Stefani Glamour Magazine October 2009

I was so excited when I received my October 2009 issue of Glamour in the mail the other day and saw Gwen Stefani on the cover. I’m a huge fan of No Doubt, Gwen’s solo stuff, and her fashion lines L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers. Gwen looked gorgeous on the cover and shows that sometimes, less really is more. Her off the shoulder McQ by Alexander McQueen is spot on for fall. Shoulders are the piece of skin to show off this year, and this off the shoulder top is a great way to do so. It’s so nice to see the emphasis on other parts of the body, so we can focus on being happy with our bodies instead of focusing on how to lose belly fat.
To get her look, makeup artist Gina Brooke applied foundation, faux lashes, and neutral lipstick. The whole nude lipstick trend got huge last summer and will continue to last through the fall.

I was super excited when I saw this cover too! The whole photo spread is fabulous. I love seeing her styled with this kind of punk edge, a la No Doubt. Love the off the shoulder sweater on the cover. Gwen’s gorgeous, talented and seemingly totally down to earth. Great post!

I love this cover – was just talking about it with my friend in the grocery store yesterday. I love how she can look both glam and cozy & homely at once.
