Gillette Venus Embrace Review

I don’t usually review products like razors here at Logical Harmony, but I liked this one so much that I just had to. Just like all girls, I have tried many different types of razors. It seems like there is always a new one on the market and there are always the tried and true ones that people swear by. My all time favorite has been the Gillette Venus razor. So I was really excited to try out the Gillette Venus Embrace, which is a great upgrade on the original. With 5 blades instead of the original 3, you get a very close shave. But, unlike with most razors, it doesn’t cause any skin irritation. It also seems like nicks are impossible to get. I’m typically prone to them since I’m a bit uncoordinated and haven’t gotten a single one while using this razor. The blade seems to last a very long time before dulling too. I’ve been using the same blade for almost two weeks now, I shave every day, and it’s not quite ready to be changed. It also comes with a shower pod that allows you to hold the razor on the side of your shower, instead of taking up valuable space in your shower caddy. This shower pod also holds 2 blade refills, which is great for people like me who don’t notice they need to change the blade until they are in the shower.

Overall, I loved this razor and would definitely recommend it to everyone. True, the cost of refills is a bit expensive. But you get a lot of use out of each one. Plus, buying refillable razors and their refills reduces the amount of waste that you generate. It’s crazy to think about how much plastic gets tossed by using disposable razors.
