Fashion : Vouge Italia February 2008 – In Time With The Music

I loved the pictures from this photo shoot that appears in the February 2008 issue of Vouge Italia! The shoot was photographed by Mark Seliger and features legendary ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov as well as models Behati Prinsloo, Egle Tvirbutaite, and Olya Ivanisevic. I thought that the it was very creative to use ballet dancers in the background, and I loved their choice of studios. The lighting is amazing as well. Since I loved it so much, I am including the entire photo spread from this shoot.

My favorite piece of clothing used in this photo shoot is the red dress featured above. The dress has such a romantic and feminine cut. I absolutely love the unique collar and sleeves of it as well. The belt picked to accessorize the dress provides a perfect contrast with the ultra feminine style.

I loved the unique design of all three of these dresses and the use of basic black and white stripes. The white circles on the skirts of the two black dresses just add emphasis to the fullness of the skirts. The white dress is so flirty and classy. I love the fullness of both the top and bottom pieces.

At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about this dress. But, the more I look at it, the more I like it. It’s creative, abstract, and fun.

This is my second favorite dress from this photo shoot. I love everything about it! From the semi-high collar line, to the slightly puffed sleeves, the higher waist, and especially the red layer underneath. It looks so romantic and beautiful.

This dress shows that simple usage of black and white combined with abstract shapes can add a lot to an otherwise dull article of clothing. I love the neckline of this dress and how one strap is comprised of the black and white circles.
