Fashion Do or Don’t : Brightly Colored Denim
A friend of mine pointed out the recent re-appearance of brightly colored denim. While it was huge last summer, neither of us are completely sure if we’re sold on the trend for this summer as well. The bright red jeans look great on Lauren Conrad and the same can be said for the turquoise pair worn by Audrina Patridge, both pictured here. I think that I could go either way on this trend. You’d have to keep everything else very simple, like both Lauren and Audrina did, with basic colors and simple accessories. But, this is also a trend where layering could come in very handy to create a chic look. Such as layered black and white tanks with a simple lightweight scarf. What do you guys think? if the color suites you, what you’re wearing, and your body type it’s a DO! I couldn’t wear colored denim because my ass is huge and it’d just accentuate it more. but i think if done right, it can look great.
Like Tosha said, I think if it compliments what you’re wearing and you have the body…go for it! For me personally, I’d say it’s a don’t. I’m a normal jeans kind of girl, although there are some cool bright colors. I’m not brave enough to try.
Hmm good question. I’m going to go ahead and say it is a DO, because I think a lot of people can look good with it. Like most fashion, it should be done RIGHT
I don’t think I would ever do it. It reminds me of the 80′s, and the pants I wore when I was a kid.
It’s a DO! LOL I posted awhile back about my pair of red skinnies! I hardly ever wear them because they do feel outrageous, but my boyfriend loves them on me and actually nags me to put them on. I think once the weather gets nicer and I’m running around and about more, I’ll definitely be wearing them a lot more.
Basically it’s just opposite, so you wear a neutral top with bright jeans rather than vice versa. I would love you see *you* in this look with your skinny model figure!
A fashion do i would say. I got a pair of skinny jeans in royal blue because i really like the color at the end of the day it’s what you like not about it being a trend….great blog
I’ll admit right now, I have a pair of turquoise and a pair of red skinnies, myself. Love ‘em! DC has a pair of royal blue ones coming out soon too which are super cute!
