Maybe it’s partly being homesick for the crisp chilly days of fall but I’ve been finding myself more and more drawn to winter accessories this season. Despite it still being in the 70′s out each day, I find myself only wanting to shop for leggings, leg warmers, knee socks, thermals, knit caps, and my desire for a pair of Uggs has increased dramatically. Here are some of the items that I am lusting after the most.

Knit caps of any kind are always great to have when it starts to get chilly out. I’m a sucker for details like pom-poms and earflaps. The Abercrombie Kids Brittany in cream looks like the coziest and cutest option for this winter. I’ve seen a lot of very cute basic knit caps, but it seems like the either have just a bill or just a pom-pom, not both. Put them together on one cap and it’s just too adorable to not want to wear!

Leg warmers are both very functional and a very cute way to accessorize. Wear them over pants or with a skirt. They are a way to quickly add some color and life to any plain outfit. The two pairs that I am lusting over at the moment are both from Abercrombie & Fitch and are the Cable Legwarmers in light grey and the Fairisle Legwarmers in brown.

Knee socks are making a huge comeback this season!! The perfect substitute for leggings and leg warmers, they can be worn with skirts and dresses, peeping out from underneath Ugg boots, or simply under pants. I love the look of the classic 70′s tube sock ones, like the Sparkle & Fade Jumping Hurdles Sock from Urban Outfitters. On the other hand, I love the girlyness of the Sparkle & Fade Hearts Knee High Sock, also from Urban Outfitters.

Okay, call them Granny-ish, but I cannot get over how adorable and cozy looking cable knit leggings are!! Wear them with Uggs, a skirt, and a sweater on top and you have automatic comfy chic style. American Apparel used to carry some that looked amazing and came in a variety of colors, but I was unable to find them on their website. Luckily, the Sparkle & Fade Cozy Cable Leggings from Urban Outfitters are perfect!

Thermals are something that I have worn my entire life. They are perfect for layering underneath tops and pants on the really chilly days of winter. Now they are making them in tons of really cute colors and prints, which makes them perfect for lounging around the house! My favorite pair that I have seen so far this season is the Thermal Waffle Crop Legging & Crewneck set from Victoria’s Secret.

This last item is something that I think everyone in the world except for me already owns, a pair of Ugg Australia Classic Tall Boots in Chestnut. They just look so incredibly comfortable and warm. Plus, the go perfectly with a lot of other winter accessories. Make sure to treat yours with a water proofing spray (which is different from weather proofing, by the way) before wearing them outdoors to keep them in top shape!
