ELF High Definition Powder in Soft Luminance Review

ELF High Definition Powder in Soft Luminance Review

Recently I picked up theĀ ELF High Definition Powder in Soft Luminance. I have used the original ELF High Definition Powder before, but had never seen the Soft Luminance shade. I was curious if it would work similar to one of the Hourglass ambient lighting powders and how it would differ from the ELF Illuminating Palette.

ELF High Definition Powder in Soft Luminance Review

Ingredients: Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Silica, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Sodium Dehydroacetate May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Red 40 Lake (CI 16035)

Pros:Ā Sets makeup with a subtle shimmer. Doesn’t crease foundation or concealer.Ā Cruelty freeĀ brand. Vegan formula.

Cons:Ā The shimmer isn’t really enough to reflect light to make my skin look luminous. Settled into dry spots.

The Verdict:Ā TheĀ ELF High Definition Powder in Soft LuminanceĀ is a product that I will continue to use, but will probably not buy again. I love their ELF High Definition Powder formula and have used the translucent powder before with great results. TheĀ ELF High Definition Powder in Soft Luminance has some of the great qualities of the original. It set my liquid products very well and without any creasing. Unfortunately, the added perks just weren’t there for me. If you are looking for some added luminance, the ELF Illumating Palette is a good option.
