We all spend a lot of time on the computer each day. Whether it’s working or casually surfing the web, odds are that you also take a break and play online games. I’ll admit that I’m totally addicted to Makeup Mah-Jongg. Now studies are suggesting that some of these online games are actually good for you.
Studies now suggest that playing online games increases your brainpower, can help your eyesight, and helps to build family bonds. I can definitely see how playing free online bingo with family members who are far away can help increase a bond. According to Yahoo, “Another study conducted by York University indicates that playing games may actually prep the brain for non-gaming tasks that require good hand-eye coordination.” Even NPR has wondered if online gaming is good for you.
Personally, I’m happy to have any excuse to play Mah-Jongg for a little longer. Do you play games online? Do you think that they are beneficial in any way?
