Best of Elle Style Awards 2010

At the recent Elle Style Awards, many celebrities show up on the red carpet dressed in a wide variety of styles. Given the tone of the awards, it makes sense that those who showed up wanted to be as fashionable as possible. Here are my favorites from the Elle Style Awards.

Alexa Chung at Elle Style Awards 2010

Alexa Chung : Somehow, this girl can manage to make anything look good. On so many, this dress would look like it was dug out of their Grandmother’s closet, and not in a good way. Yet, on Alexa Chung it has that perfectly vintage vibe. I especially love that her nude heels have a champagne colored toe.

Claire Danes at Elle Style Awards 2010

Claire Danes : She’s come so far since the My So Called Life days and has gone from grunge to chic. I love that her dress is a conservative cut, but that the lace sleeves add a bit of edge. It keeps this Little Black Dress from being too plain and drab.

Daisy Lowe at Elle Style Awards 2010

Daisy Lowe : Now I’m sure that some of you are wondering why she’s on my list for the best dressed. I just love that this outfit shows how confident she is in herself and her personal style. Being able to throw on something that’s unique and be completely confident is something that will make anything look good.

Kristen Stewart at Elle Style Awards 2010

Kristen Stewart : Even at big events, it’s rare to see Kristen Stewart out of her jeans and in a dress. She knows how to take things up a knotch (like you can with rheumatoid arthritis treatments). I love that this dress takes a classic shape and updates it with graphic prints and sequins.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at Elle Style Awards 2010

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen : These two just looked amazing! I love that they stuck to neutral tones and let the details of their dresses and accessories do all the talking.

  1. I think Ashley looked great but wish that Mary-Kate would have followed and got out of the drab look. She looks so morbid when they both have such great beauty and should always wear more fabulous clothes.

  2. I think most of these were awful but I especially hate the look on Kristin Stewart’s face. She needs to go home and practice making faces into a mirror.
